Boracay Immigration / Visa / Visa Extension in Boracay

Citizens with valid passports and outbound ticket of e.g. South Korea, Singapore, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, UK, US, and citizens from nations with diplomatic relations to the Philippines are given free of charge tourist visa (Visa on arrival) for 30 days with entry into the Philippines.

Extensions of tourist visas can be applied for and processed locally in Boracay. Visa extensions up to a maximum of 59 days are possible at the Bureau of Immigration (Intramuros / Manila) or a regional office (Boracay, Kalibo, Iloilo etc.). A valid return ticket is required. The fee for the first visa extension amounts PHP 3,130. Afterwards the tourist visa can be extended by another two months up to a total stay of 16 months. All foreigners wishing to spend more than 59 days in the Philippines additionally, have to apply for an ACR I-Card at the Bureau of Immigration. Visitors planning a long-term stay in Boracay, or the Philippines in general, may apply at a Philippine consulate, embassy in their respective home country for a 6 month / 1 year tourist visa.

The Bureau of Immigration in Boracay is located next to Nirvana Beach Resort at Station 2. The office entrance is directly at the main road, driving in northerly direction on the left-hand side. (about 300 meters before "Crafts" and "D´Mall" area) Staff require the passport, a photocopy of the passport including a copy of the entry stamp to the Philippines, plus a processing fee. Then, the extended visa can be picked up on the same day. Visa extend at least one or two weeks before expiration date. Philippine Bureau of Immigration staff expects visa applicants to respect the dress code.

When foreigners leave the Philippines, the Philippine Immigration Authority makes sure that the period of validity of the visa has not been exceeded. In the case of violations, the departure is only permitted after payment of penalties and imprisonment if necessary.

Customs regulations in the Philippines allow the import and export of PHP 10,000 and US$ 10,000 without declaration. It is permitted to import 400 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250g tobacco, 2 bottles of alcohol (max. 1 liter per bottle).
Even the possession of small quantities of drugs is punishable by law and can lead to high prison sentences. Further, import bans exist in particular for: Potatoes, coffee, onions, garlic, cabbage, gambling articles, night vision devices, weapons, weapon parts and ammunition (even if they are only decorative), subversive, obscene or pornographic materials, medicines or medical devices for carrying out an abortion. Corals and shells are not allowed to be exported from the Philippines.

  3. Hi, I am planning for a trip to Kalibo Boracay around 14th Aug'15 - 19 August'15. As we live in Singapore, but we are Indians holding an Indian Passport.My flight is not direct to boracay it's Singapore to Manila & than Manila to Boracay. Please let me know if i can apply for on arrival visa for Boracay at Manila Airport itself or i should apply the visa in Singapore only from the Philippine embassy.

    Kindly revert regarding Visa for Boracay for Indians asap. As we need to book the flight tights.

  4. Hi Eshan, how did you go through with your trip? We are Indian citizens with Singapore visas who will be visiting borocay from Singapore. We however will be flying directly into Kalibo and are hoping our visas on arrival can be issues in Kalibo. Looking forward to you response.

  5. As per the link, Inidans from singapore with a long term pass (for singapore) are exempt from visa requirements. Is that true at kalibo as well?

    You have old Information! The office is no more located there it's now at station 3 you can find the right place on Google Maps. The price is now only 2100PHP but you have to wait one week to geht back your extended visa express is possible for 1000PHP extra.

  10. Hi.. we are planing to visit boracay next month.. v are Indian holding an Indian passport. However, went to Singapore last year and have a visa for Singapore which is valid for 2 years .. do we still need apply for the visa for boracay? Plz reply if anybody can help.
